You do not need to have an employer’s sponsorship to apply for Citizenship.

Generally, Citizenship applications take about six months to 1 year to process, provided all the required documents are submitted. Depending on the complexity of the case, some applications may take longer to process.

There is no better time to apply for Sigapore Citizenship than now. Stringent immigration laws have only made obtaining Citizenship more difficult. Since 2009, ICA officers have tightened policies to reduce the likelihood of foreigners obtaining Citizenship solely to reap the numerous benefits that come with being a Singapore Citizen. Unfortunately, this means that obtaining Citizenship will only become more difficult in the future, as stricter policies may be implemented. As a result, applying for Singapore Citizenship as soon as possible is advised.

There is no limit to the number of times you may apply for Citizenship.
